NEGATIVE: Just before the airing of its fifth episode on February 8, 2021, the Chinese streaming site Bilibili suspended the anime series “Mushoku Tensei” due to complaints. This was because of the show’s contentious material, deemed “immoral” by several reviewers, including prominent streamer LexBurner.

He referred to the anime as being “for those at the bottom of the social order,” resulting in unfavorable audience reactions on the site. This complaint resulted in the removal of LexBurner from Bilibili. The program’s author, Rifujin na Magonote, acknowledged LexBurner’s right to his views and urged viewers who appreciated the program to continue doing so.

He also suggested avoiding individuals like LexBurner and focusing instead on community development. Despite the negative comments, he emphasized that anime is not solely for successful individuals and hoped that fans would appreciate it for what it is.
