Pacific Rim The Black Season 1 Recap
The tale begins with the Kaiju, dangerous monsters from the Pacific Rim, escaping and overrunning the continent of Australia. To save the country, they construct giant machines and armies, but everything fails, and the Kaiju conquers Australia, leaving only a handful of survivors. Hayley Travis and Taylor Travis are siblings whose parents depart the country to prepare for battle against Kaiju, leaving them behind. Years have passed, but they still have not returned. Hayley discovers an abandoned Jaeger named Atlas Destroyer five years after the incident and resolves to activate it.
Together, Hayley and Taylor activate the automaton and use it to locate their parents. When Kaiju receives the activation alarm from Atlas Destroyer, their plan is interrupted. They travel to Sydney Base to meet Boy and Mei to save themselves. They soon realize their mission involves locating their parents, combating the dangerous creature Kaiju, and defending the survivors.

The story begins with Boy, a human who can transform into a Kaiju. His ongoing scar reveals his true identity as a soldier. He receives the scarring when he attempts to save Hayley and Taylor from the Kaijus. Boy comes upon The Sisters, a cult that worships Kaijus. The Sisters dispatch a poisonous mantis to attack him.
Hayley and Taylor soon identify Boy and bring him to Mei. Mei informs them that they must travel to the residence of Kaijus, who possesses the antidote to this poison. As soon as they arrive, The Sisters discover them and attempt to murder them. But with the assistance of Loa, the Atlas Destroyer’s AI, they evade The Sisters and rush to the Sidney base in search of safety.
