What Will The Plot Of Snowfall Season 6 Be?
Franklin’s life and relationships shattered towards the conclusion of Snowfall season 5, as he promised revenge on his key distributor Teddy when he double-crossed him. At the same time, Louie, another member of Franklin’s wealthy drug ring, The Family, has threatened to murder the former kingpin the next time she sees him.
With drug dealer Kane out for vengeance after Franklin informed him Louie tried to have him killed, we can expect a sixth season full of backstabbing, betrayal, and carnage – but only if the US Government first gets to the main protagonists.
This is because, as Leon, Franklin’s best buddy and former second-in-command of The Family, revealed, the US Government is cracking down on narcotics more than ever. With Snowfall set in the 1980s, Leon is most likely alluding to Ronald Reagan’s Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1986, which stated that possessing five grams of crack cocaine would be penalized the same as having 500 grams of powder cocaine.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Dave Andron hinted that season 6 will be “heavier.”
“I think we’ve always tried to make this program lighthearted.” The program is about serious issues and a horrible period in American history. We’ve found some lightness in that because there is a lot of humor in the world, and it’s part of how people live daily. “I think the tale needs to end up being a tragedy, and this last season is going to seem a little darker,” he remarked.
You can feel the moments when we’re attempting to have things have a lighter touch in the past two seasons, and the final two episodes settle into a very distinct tone. And tone will be more prominent in the previous season.
